A practice Dr. Lemay built from the ground up
Desert Dental Alternatives opened in 2002 in a building Dr. Bruno Lemay designed and built on Ramon Road. Many of our patients, and many of our team, have been here for decades.
Our story
From northern Quebec to Ramon Road
Dr. Bruno Lemay started his career in a remote part of northern Quebec, where he learned to do a bit of everything: cosmetic work, root canals, surgery. Over 10 years in Canada he opened and managed 10 dental offices and trained a team of nine dentists.
He earned his California dental license in 1999 and spent the next few years consulting in Coachella Valley dental offices, performing root canal and gum procedures. In 2002 he opened Desert Dental Alternatives in a building he built himself on Ramon Road in Cathedral City. He has practiced dentistry for 36 years in all, 26 of them in California.
His approach has stayed the same since day one: explain the options in a professional, compassionate way, including the less expensive ones, give the out-of-pocket cost before treatment starts, and let the patient decide in comfort.

- Practices in Quebec. Opens and manages 10 offices; trains nine dentists.

- Certificates in orthodontics, Institut Dentaire International, Longueuil.

- California dental license.
- 2000 to 2003
- Consults in Coachella Valley offices, doing root canal and gum procedures.

- Begins placing mini dental implants.
- 2002
- Opens Desert Dental Alternatives in the building he built on Ramon Road. Joins the Academy of Laser Dentistry.

- Three doctors, including an in-house endodontist, and a team that speaks English, Spanish and French.

Look for the big white tooth
We are at 69450 Ramon Road, Cathedral City, CA 92234, on Ramon Road near Date Palm Drive and Da Vall Drive. The building is stacked desert stone and glass under tall palms, with boulders along the sidewalk and a large white tooth sculpture next to the Bruno Lemay DMD sign.
Patients come from Cathedral City, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and across the Coachella Valley, and a few from much farther.
